Curriculum
The University of New Haven’s online MBA: Data Analytics (STEM) concentration includes coursework in data visualization, machine learning, database management, and more. The R-programming language is a central part of the program’s design.
Courses are seven weeks in duration, delivered in a flexible online format, and taught by expert faculty. This in-demand concentration is STEM-designated, so you develop interdisciplinary skill sets and technical expertise to stand out in the job market.
Course Spotlight: QANL 6625 Mining for Business Intelligence
This course is designed to provide business students with the skills to conduct data mining and statistical analysis for dealing with common managerial-making tasks, such as prediction, classification, and clustering. Data mining is a rapidly growing field that is concerned with developing techniques to assist analysts to make intelligent use of large data sets. In this course, the emphasis is on understanding the application of a wide range of modern techniques to specific managerial situations, rather than on mastering the mathematical and computational foundations of the techniques.
CurriculumCourse Spotlight: ECON 6635 Business Forecasting
The focus of this course is on statistical and data analytical methods for the preparation of business forecasts. A variety of empirical techniques are covered: smoothing methods, moving averages, regression analysis, classical time-series decomposition methods, and ARIMA (Box-Jenkins) models. Emphasis is placed upon building forecasting models and evaluating their reliability. The focus is on time-series data. R is the preferred statistical package.

While scholarships are not available for online students, the University of New Haven does accept federal financial aid.
The University of New Haven’s online MBA includes concentration options in data analytics (STEM), business analytics, and global supply chain management. Students can also pursue a general MBA.
The University of New Haven does not currently offer a virtual open house for the online MBA.
Students can transfer up to six credits into the program. Keep in mind that at least 30 credit hours of coursework must be completed with the University of New Haven to graduate.
